Description
In a world of anxious circumstances, it’s no wonder that many of us find ourselves dealing with fear. However, God’s people are called to live courageously. How can we live with peace and confidence in the midst of a frightening world? The only way is to remember that the Lord has promised to strengthen, help, and uphold us, and He always keeps His Word.
In this message, Dr. Stanley explains what causes us to be afraid and explains the consequences of living in fear. He also shares how many of the negative emotions we experience in life are rooted in fear and that we can be free of this stressful emotion by:
- Acknowledging it
- Identifying its source
- Changing our focus
- Relying on Scripture
- Laying down our fears
Although God doesn’t say He will remove you from fearful circumstances, He does promise to strengthen and sustain you through them. Whenever your mind dwells on uncertainties, remember who upholds you. When you’re in almighty God’s hands, you can face anything in life and experience the joy of His peace.
