Description
The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is historical fact. And many of us could describe some external events that occurred that day, like the spikes driven in our Lord’s hands, the soldiers gambling for His robes, the earthquake, and the darkness. But what really happened at the cross goes far beyond the physical realm, and it has meaning for saints and sinners alike.
In this message, Dr. Stanley helps us examine what happened that day from three different perspectives. First, what it looked like from God’s point of view. Second, how it affected our enemy and accuser, Satan. And third, how it concerns us and our standing with God.
Every single person who has ever lived has experienced being out of fellowship with God, separated from Him by the widest and deepest of canyons. That feeling of distance between you and your Heavenly Father can feel very cold and lonely. By studying all that the cross made possible for us, we can come to understand the power of the blood of our Savior, and begin to rest securely in His steadfast presence and never-ending love.
