The word “disciple” is a foundational concept in the Christian life, but it can also be one of the most misunderstood.
Dr. Stanley defines a New Testament disciple as one who learns the doctrines of the one who is teaching and who applies those doctrines to their daily lives. Discipleship is not optional for those who love and follow Jesus; it is a part of who we are as children of God. In this 10-sermon series, Dr. Stanley describes who a disciple is and what a disciple does. It is a life of continuous growth through which the message of salvation spreads. You can move beyond occasional prayer, sporadic Bible reading, and mere church attendance, to a vibrant, joyous faith worth sharing.
